Round 6 U19s Thirds Match Report

PEGS FC:      22.17-149

OLD SCOTCH:    1.1-7

Driving out the other side of the city to face PEGS was no easy task, especially when it was blown a gale straight down the ground. Losing the toss and kicking against the wind first quarter was going to be even harder. From the first bounce it was clear that the breeze would be roughly a 10 goal wind. Keeping them 4 goals with this breeze was a credit to our pressure on the ball. The wind didn’t go into our favour when the wind decided to drop off in the 2nd quarter allowing them to move the ball a lot easier than we could, continuing their scoring run.

Even with being behind be that much it was a credit that we fought it out to the end with a fantastic run down tackle from Charlie Westacott in the final minutes of the game. It was a massive improvement from last week but with the conditions this made it hard. But a full credit to the boys for keeping up the pressure throughout the game and improving on last week. Hopefully keeping up this week by week improvement we can hopefully get a win on the board soon.
