Due to the on-going circumstances surrounding the Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) has decided to postpone the start of this season to 2 May 2020. This will mean there will be no official training, practice matches or competition matches before this time. This is of course subject to rapid change in the current environment. READ HERE for the full statement from VAFA.

First and foremost our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of all our people at the Old Scotch Football Club. Our club’s executive will meet this week to do an initial assessment of what this decision means for all the key areas of the club and what strategies we need to put in place. Our football department, led by our Football Director, Donald McDonald are already considering the best options for getting the playing group as ready as possible for the delayed start of the season. The work they have already done to date has been first class.

At this challenging time for all of us, your support is crucial. Whether you are a member of the committee, playing group, football department, the Foundation, club member, corporate/community partner or player sponsor, we need to stand side by side. This means maintaining or growing our level of commitment to subs, membership or sponsorship to ensure we can deliver the best football program in the VAFA. I thank you in advance for taking up this challenge with us to make 2020 a successful one on all levels.

We will continue to communicate with you as things rapidly evolve in the current circumstances. Take care and let’s look after each other.

Go Cardinals!
