The Old Scotch Football Club (OSFC) is seeking applications for the position of Men’s Under 19 Head Coach in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). The key focus for the successful applicant is to lead our high-quality coaching program, support young men, develop and prepare players in readiness for Men’s Premier ‘A’ Section football and engage in club life. You will work in partnership with the club’s management, and coaches in the greater club program.
Key Responsibilities
- Embrace and demonstrate by example the club vision and values
- Lead and set the standard for a group of players, assistant coaches, and staff
- Understanding and execution of the football strategies/structure and game plan
- Assist with the recruitment of players
- Lead the delivery of high-performance training programs
- Collaborate with medical staff including physiotherapists and the sports physician
- Aid individual and group player skill development
- Provide constructive feedback and communication to players and other club coaches
- Selection of Under 19 teams
- Attendance at Under 19 training sessions and matches
- Deliver a rewarding experience for those people you are responsible for

Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching at a minimum of school or community level football (desirable)
- AFL Foundation Coaching Accreditation (level 1) or higher (required)
- Working With Children Check (required)
