The VAFA Rising Star committee has nominated Tyler Sellers as the Rising Star for this week.
We congratulate Tyler who has been nominated this week for the VAFA Men’s Rising Star Award. The 19 year old joined the club from Scotch College in 2021, spending his first year in the Men’s under 19s, playing 10 matches and kicking 18 goals. Tyler made an impressive Men’s Premier ‘A‘ section debut vs Collegians in Round 11 2021, kicking a goal, in the last match before COVID-19 ended the season.
Tyler has been a regular in the Men’s Premier ‘A’ section team in 2022, playing all 12 matches, predominately forward, kicking 15 goals. However, Tyler occasionally has been asked to trouble shoot in different roles around the ground. Tyler is a great young man from a wonderful family and we believe he has a great football future at VAFA Premier ‘A’ Section and beyond that.
